Conical Blender Overview

The Conical Blender is a highly efficient and gentle batch mixer designed for blending free-flowing solids, granules, powders, and even trace amounts of liquids. It features a conical vessel with a centrally mounted agitator, which promotes axial and radial mixing with low shear. This design makes it ideal for fragile, heat-sensitive, or segregating materials that require precise homogeneity without degradation.

It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and cosmetic industries for precision batch mixing and uniformity.

Working Principle

Inside the conical chamber, a slow-rotating agitator lifts material upward along the vessel wall. Gravity then causes the material to fall back toward the bottom center, creating a continuous gentle folding action. This axial-radial flow ensures excellent mixing without mechanical stress or temperature rise, which is critical for fragile particles. The conical shape also ensures complete discharge and minimal residue, reducing product loss and cleaning time.
