Working Principle

The Twin Shaft Mixer operates using two horizontal shafts equipped with specially designed paddles or blades that rotate in opposite directions. As the shafts turn, they generate an overlapping counter-current flow pattern, ensuring thorough mixing of materials throughout the vessel.

The counter-rotating action lifts, folds, and disperses the material, breaking up clumps and promoting uniform distribution. This dynamic movement allows for rapid and homogeneous blending, even with heavy, sticky, or abrasive components.

In some models, liquid can be sprayed during mixing for wet granulation or paste formation. Once the desired consistency is achieved, the mixture is discharged through a bottom or side outlet—designed for quick, complete emptying with minimal residue.
